Boxfish, Sponges & Crinoids in Dominica’s Marine Park

Published by at 9:02 pm under Uncategorized

Curious boxfish will approach scuba divers in the marine park outside of Dominica’s capitol city of Roseau

Myriad sponges cover the reefs at Dangleben’s Pincacles. Check deep in the central osculum as you pass and you will find an amazing diversity of marine life enjoying the protection of their solitary hosts.

Ok, another crinoid photo. These are rare in the Sea of Cortez where I do much of my scuba diving, so I tend to overshoot these beautiful creatures when I travel to destinations like Dominica where they are locally abundant.
